Description
Ukko Tonkka takes the serving of wines and other beverages packaged in tap packages to a new level.
A drink served from the impressive Ukko Tonkka awakens the senses. Ukko Tonkka keeps the drink suitably cool – and is responsible for the experience of serving. You can store Ukko Tonkka in the refrigerator before serving.
The steel frame stores the cold and keeps the drink cold for a long time. By adding a cold accumulator (1-3 cold cans) inside the Tonkka, you get additional cooling. Patented hands-free FreeCAP tap now at Ukko. The tap fits all Bag in Box tap packages sold in Finland.
The market uses standardized Vintop Bag in Box beverage packages. Click the tap into place and press the rim of the glass under the tap and let the wine flow. Cheers! The beverage packaging forms a significant part of the drink’s carbon footprint. When you think about the drink, also think about the packaging.
The wild popularity of BIB wines continues and Ukko is responding to the demand with a new serving concept. In the Nordic countries, approximately 150M/l of BIB wines are consumed per year.
The myth of cheap Bag-in-Box bulk wine has finally been broken. Nowadays, almost all high-quality wineries offer their products in ecological Bag-in-Box tap packaging. In addition to the small carbon footprint, the advantages of BIB wines are undeniable compared to traditional glass bottles.
Cost-effectiveness, wine shelf life and affordability. A drink packaged in a tap package leaves a carbon footprint many times smaller than a traditional glass bottle. The carbon footprint of a tap package is 70g CO2e per liter (glass bottle 675 g CO2e/l).
